bio
Originally from the southern Oregon coast, Moreen is an actress, comedian, writer, director, and producer. Her novel, LOST IN MANHATTAN, was published late 2011 and is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. She is currently in pre-production on a high art, campy comedy short film titled MEET THE ZILLAS that she wrote and will direct and co-star in. And, she is an up-and-comer on the stand-up scene in Los Angeles.
Moreen made her stand-up comedy debut in the summer of 2010 and two months later signed with New Wave Dynamics record label for her first comedy album. In 2011, she completed “THE HACKS” (www.thehackstv.com), a highly improvised short film/TV pilot which she conceived, directed, co-starred and edited (see “videos”). She has previously directed sketch comedy in NYC, and acted in many theatrical, commercial and film productions. Highlights include a principle role in a big budget Guinness Beer commercial directed by Ridley Scott, and being handpicked by Francis Ford Coppola for Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Moreen studied drama, creative writing and film production at USC and Syracuse University, acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, and improv at the Groundlings. She lived in NYC for eight years and currently lives in Los Angeles the third time – the charm.
